Looking for load data for 50-55gr pils- straight .220 Russian only please. any input would be appreciated.

Thanks

24.5gr. of LT32 behind a 52gr. Berger works good for me. 25.5gr. of 8208 and a 52 gr. Berger works well also. LT32 is a good powder for the little .220 Russian.

I’m on my third Beggs, and LT-32 has been the powder of choice. Please understand that most BR cartridges get ran at some steamy pressures, but the guys I know all pretty much run 26 grains of LT-32 behind the 53 grain custom bullets that are available. I have found that some barrels will let you push it a little faster, but not with out paying the piper. Somewhere beyond 26 grains, you start stretching primer pockets. I know this because it seems the more powder you put in this little case the better it shoots... but then when you go to load those cases and find they’ll no longer hold a primer...

26gr./LT32 would be a pretty good compressed load. It would scream though.
I have a fair amount of experience with the 220 & 6 Beggs. 26.0 grs of LT 32 is not compressed. IN fact the case will hold 27 or more, it's just not as accurate once you go past 26. with a 53gr bullet. I'm told it is around 3550 fps. 25.5 is also excellent with a 57gr Hillbilly bullet. My 6 Beggs will hold 27.5 LT 32 with a 68gr bullet. It is on the ragged edge, but is very accurate. In my rifle it requires a CCI 41 military primer.
