22 Winchester Wildcat target/varmint

I bought this gun and it has no scope mounts. I was wondering what the best to get for it would be or a idea for it. It has 3/8 dove tail but i was wanting to put mounts back on it to cover where someone had them on it in the past. I post a picture also. Thanks

Drilled and tapped. What year is that rifle?

I will look it up tomorrow when i get it out. Im going to say early 2000, but not 100 percent. But i think it came that way from factory.

Pretty easy, take screws out and slide dovetail mounts over holes.
Make sure dovetail is not 11 mm.

You might want to try dovetail to picatinny/weaver adapters. You can then use whatever rings you want. You use the ring base screws for clamping to the dovetail. They are fairly low profile.

Yep, bought one for my grandson about 15 years ago. Paid about $200 new. Good starter rifle to teach gun safety. Not good for much else.
