.22 Target Rifle Values

Gunbroker, and search the ones that are GETTING bids. Watch the auctions until they complete.
This is good information. People can ask anything and often are out of touch with reality. See what the bid items do for the real price that things will bring.

Lot of good information. Personally, I no longer use RFC (Rimfire Central) as a VERY liberal Canadian company bought that forum, a company that also owns the ultra liberal Toronto Sun newspaper that has an extreme anti-gun platform. Be that said, looking at gun auction sites is good for completed sales prices. The Blue Book of Gun Values is good, if you know someone that has one.

This last early spring I did a lot of value/appraisal work for the parents of my very good friend who passed in February. He was my FFL and had a fairly eclectic collection of personal firearms. We used his Blue Book and I also used the internet to value several of his guns that didn't seem to jive with my knowledge of said guns. True Gun Values website gave extensive records of those guns that were traded over a certain amount of time, including recent trade prices. We valued several guns, most were collector guns, much higher than the Blue Book. Guns in niche markets often command higher prices than what they may be listed for in a book as far as actual sale prices in the market at that time. Something to consider when looking at specialty items, like higher end target rifles. Just my 2 cents worth after spending weeks going through a bunch of guns for my friends estate.

To offer some clarification, the Toronto Sun is definitely not either a very liberal or even a liberal paper. It's a right wing paper that is very anti-liberal. It's conservatism rivals that of many right-wing American newspapers. It is a regular critic of the current government's gun policies and supports the Conservative Party of Canada.

You are correct, I got the name wrong. It's the Toronto Star, not the Toronto Sun. My apologies.
