.22 SPEER TNT'S

I HAVE NOT SHOT THESE AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY ARE "BAD",WILL NOT GROUP)AFTER 200-250 YDS .....WANTED TO GO WITH A CHEAPER ALTERNATE BULLET...ANYONE HAVE ANY FEEDBACK
THANKS

I get great groups with them in my 22 fireball. I average under 1/2 MOA with the 50g TNT at about 3100fps. They are devistating on p-dogs.

I have had great success with the Speer 50gr TNT bullet. I have shot over 8,000 of them through my Rem. 788, that I shoot in the .222 Remington. In this rifle, it shoots honest 1/4" groups at 100 yards from the bench. They shoot as good as a Berger 52gr bullet for a lot less money. They are devastating to any varmint that happens to get in the way! I would say to go ahead and try them to see if your barrel will shoot them.

Cordially,
Bob Blaine

The speer TNT's i have shot have all been verry accurate and devestating the only problem you can occour is pushing a 224 cal in a 22-250 AI or a 6mm in a 6mm284 flat out they have verry thin javkets and will blow up but if used as per the reccomendationd of not pushing them to hard in 22 cal 22-250 with warm loads and any br case or smaller they are awsome the same in 6mm if using a 240 just dont push them flat out you will probably loose some. its the same with other brands that have light jacket bullets they will blow uo if pushed to hard. I realy think they are awsome and have used a few thousand in my 6mmBr with great effect with groups ranging from 3/8" to 1/4" in a factory Rem VLS 243 rechamberd to 6mmBR

THANKS FOR THE REPLY'S...
BUT WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW WAS HOW WELL
THEY WORK,ACCURATE) AT LONGER RANGES... IE OVER 300 YDS
ALL HAVE A GOOD DAY!!

In regard to the accuracy of the 50gr TNT bullets, I have been able to use them all the way out to 400 yards on crows with no difficulties. Accuracy at longer ranges is not a problem, at least in my barrel. The bullets have shown that they work well at longer ranges. I have been able to push them to 3,400 fps with no problems at all in my Remington barrel for the .222 Remington, when I load them with N133.

Bob Blaine

Ive shot the 6mm back to 600 yards on paper and just past 500 on rabbits and other pests they work verry well and because of their shape they have a high bc for a flat based bullet.Verry nice in barrels that dont like boat tails like 22 cal Sako rifles weather 222, 223 or 222 mag they never seem to shoot as well with boat tail bullets. There shape is similar to the heavy flat based bullets being used for 1000 yard benchrest high ogive angle and flat base verry nice.

6BR,
I shoot the 50gr TNT in a 16inch AR that will group about 2 inches or better at 300. My best friend shoots a 20 in. tube and gets 1/8th to 1/4 inch at 100 and it holds that moa all the way out to 500 his furthest shot so far. By the way it literally wrecks jackrabbits! I have seen it almost split them in half at 100.

Well your friend should enter the next World Benchrest Championships with his AR shooting factory bullets. The guys shooting custom 6PPC's are obviously missing out on something.

Yeah it's an Olympic Arms UM1. It's just like my 16 inch except it's a 20. The worst part is I bought it for him cuz Active duty gets dealer cost. Then he goes out and smokes me with it. Funny thing is he says he shoots it almost free recoil, sand baggin the hell outta it and loading a single round at a time. I am also the one who turned him on to the TNT's! But mine is a lot easier to handle out in the sage brush bustin bunnies.
