.22 scope ?

The clicks on a moa scope are finer than a mil scope. 1/4 or 1/8 (for target scope) vs a bit over 1/3 inch at 100 for a mil scope. At 400 yards a .22 is a lot like a mortar shot.
I ran out of scope at about 350 with 20 moa rail. looking at a different scope possibly and maybe a 30 moa rail.

You might take a look at SWFA SS scopes. They come in both mil and moa versions and have a lot more adjustment than your average scope. I can't remember for sure but it is something like 140 moa. On top of that they are a screaming good scope for not much money. It's hard to find a bad review on them.

You’ll want a 30 to 40 MOA rail and use a high quality 34mm scope to give you plenty of elevation adjustment. I’ve got a Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25 on my V22. I really like that parallax adjusts on that down to 10 yards for close shots. Many scopes have a minimum of 25 or 50 yards.

I went with MOA, 1/8 clicks and Burris Signature Z Rings with the offset inserts and than a 20 moa rail. Using the inserts in different forms I can make the set up equivalent to 10 MOA or 30 MOA.

You can get +/- 40 with the plastic inserts if you have two sets of the 20's.

Also, be aware that, in general terms, the closer together the rings are to more +/- elevation adjustment one will have.

Burris inserts +20, rear. -20 in front, got me to 200 no problem.
Idk on more.
To add more there may be a Problem with clearance on the scope and barrel at the front.

One of the great things about the SWFA fixed Powers is the parallax adjustment being about to get down to 10 yards, makes for fun rimfire shooting on paper at an affordable price. Built like a tank and every one I’ve ever had tracked perfectly.

I started with the 25 moa rail on my Vudoo v-22, then put an Athlon Cronus in a set of Burris Extreme signature rings with 30 moa more. With this setup I was able to dial up 95 moa and hold over 40 moa more for hits at 600 yards. The Cronus has 110 moa elevation total and focuses easily at 25 yards. I use a 50 yard zero and subsonic ammo.

A scope with mil/mil reticle/turrets will be an advantage on a 22RF at longer distances. I've got a 25 MOA rail on my 1st V-22, and went with 30 MOA rails on the other two. With a 50yd zero with std vel match ammo, I'm up 1.4-1.7 mils at 100yds, 7.4-8 mils at 210yds, depending on the velocity of the ammo used (1045fps-1080fps). I use Athlon Cronus 34mm 4.5-29x56 scopes on the heavy bbl competition/trainer 22RF rifles, and put an Athlon Midas TAC on the last V-22 I built, which has an 18" light contour bbl in a Manners EH2 stock. The Cronus scopes are excellent, especially at their $1800 MAP price point, and the 30mm, 6-24x50 Midas TAC is a very good scope at its $630 MAP price. Both have 10 mil/revolution turrets w/zero stop (a necessity if you don't want to get 'lost' trying to remember which revolution you're on when dialing out to 400yds).

I got a 60 MOA rail to try on the newest V-22; had plenty of down elevation travel left when I zeroed it at 50yds, but haven't been able to get over to my 600-1000yd range to find out how far that 60 MOA will get me using internal elevation of the Cronus scope on that rifle - last time I was there, the backstop & steel targets were buried in snow. It takes about 12.3 mils to get to 300; with a total of 28.6 mils available, the AB app shows that should get me out to 530yds with Lapua Polar Biathlon. Just thinking about trying to use a MOA scope with 1/8 min clicks for extended range shooting with a 22RF gives me a headache...lol

I put an 8.5-25X Horus Predator scope on my Ruger Charger/Kidd barreled setup MOA reticle/turret. +/- 20 Burris inserts shimmed with plastic credit card to maximize the erector. Once it was setup I had maybe 5 MOA down left and about 120 UP with a 100-yd. zero. Great system for plinking out to very long range. I prefer MOA but just because that's what I'm used to.
