22 LR Bulk Ammo Varmint Hunters

I'm curious on what chambers your using in your custom semi-autos and bolt guns. I know of three different chamberings for the 22 LR. The Sporter, Bentz and Match. I was told that a match chamber on a 10/22 setup would be VERY selective with the bulk ammo and a bolt action will have no problem with either. I would like to hear from your experiences.

I have the following three;
-TacSol 10/22 with a GM barrel (Bentz) laid into a Volquartsen Lami stock.
-Bergara B-14 Steel with match chamber.
-CX 457 Varmint MTR with match chamber.

I have the above, just have not shot them yet. I'm still building my arsenal for retirement.

Doesn't matter what chamber you use, shooting bulk ammo will be selective at best that is if you can find any that will justify using it in a custom rifle semi-auto or bolt action.

Most of my critter blasting here in rural Texas is with bulk 22 ammo in my Tikka T1X. It shoots very well with pretty much everything, but I’m always looking for something better, and still inexpensive. I picked up some new ammo yesterday to test. I was really surprised to find how well the new Remington Golden Hunter 40 gr HPs shot. Nothing else I shot today was particularly accurate, but the Golden Hunter met the Tikka accuracy guarantee. And instead of meeting the guarantee of 3 rounds in 1/2” at 50 meters, I was able to put 10 rounds into 1/2”. I was impressed with that stuff.

That doesn’t answer any chamber questions, but I thought I might mention today’s results if bulk ammo is what folks want to shoot.
