.22 K Hornet , columbian squirrels, 45 mef berger

Hey Paul..... I don't shoot the Berger at rats, but having a good load of the old Nosler 45gr Hornets on the bench, along with a good stash of the new Barnes 30gr Varmint Grenade, my 22 K-Hornet is pure death on ground squirrels (Beldings), and has proven quite effective as my rock chuck walkabout rifle on some of the small ranches where I do varmint control.

Here's my Browning 1885 Low Wall in 22 K-Hornet in the rat patch:

These were taken using the Barnes 30gr VG....all one-shot stops. Ranges varied from 85 to 235 yards this time. The little K-Hornet is one of my vavorite "low intensity" walkabout rat rifle calibers for those "casual days". :)
