22 Hornet flashole problem

I have some factory ammo in 22 hornet by Hornady. After shooting I go to reload and start to pop primers. My pin on the deprimming die will not go through the flash hole. The flash hole is too small. Has anyone run into this? I tried a flash hole uniformer to see if I could expand the flash hole a little and the tip of it is too big to fit in the flash hole.

I have run into some Hornet brass that had small flash holes kinda like PPC also. I think you may be able to get the smaller deprime pin from the die manufacturer, at least worth a try. Or you can use a deprime die with the small pin, but that is an extra step you don't need if possible. Never ran into the small holes from Hornady, though. There is a lot of brass being subbed from one supplier to another these days so who knows. The Nosler Hornet brass has smaller flash holes in a batch I got last year. Good luck with your PIA.
