I have two 22 DASHERS with 8-Twist barrels, Krieger and a Shilen. Both chambered with .025" Freebores, I'm shooting 53gr V-Max bullets at 3915fps & 3956fps with IMR 8208XBR Powder. The plan is to shoot the heavy bullets when the throats wear. I'm very happy with this setup.

Here is a good read. Adam Bentley chambered one of my 22 Dashers.

8 twist.

I honestly wonder if we took the 7 twist they would splodey even more.
I have shot the Hornady 53gr V-Max in my 22BR with a 7-Twist, shot very well with 29.6 grains of Benchmark. 29.6 of Benchmark is the Sierra 22BR Accuracy Load in the 5th edition manual for 52gr & 53rg Matchking bullets.
