.22 Dasher Powder?

Is there a powder of choice for the 22 Dasher? I posted same ?? on wildcat board. Thanks for your help. DW

I would think VV N-540 would be a good powder to start with.
Perhaps N-550 kinda depends on which bullet weights you are planning on using.I've also heard that Rel-15 works pretty good in the 6Dashers out there Dashers are awesome,keep us up to date on what you are shooting at and how it all works.

If you have Sierras reloading manual, look up the bullet weight and type in your calibers section, and pick a powder, from the middle of the page. And you can also look at the bottom of each page and see what Sierra recommends. But before its over, and you have found the bullet and powder load that shoots best in your rifle, you will have tried several, so keep good records, they pay off later.

Mike, Is the 22 Dasher listed in the Sierra manual? I thought it was too obscure to have loads in manuals, hence my question. DW

Hi Duane...the Dasher is so foreign to most shooters they just know it exists....try H-4350 with the 80 gr. bullets ...,35gr MAX!!)...Roger

Duane: It is an obscure cartridge, and probably not in the Sierra book, and certainly not in my copy, its 5 years old. Sorry, I just wasn't thinking 'Dasher'. Steeper shoulder and 10% more case capacity right. I'm sure you will get some good recommendations.
