I use lapua 6mm neck down to 22 than I turn the necks just enough to clean them up .I f-formed 22-250 brass for mine.
Did you have to reduce your loads any?I only use Peterson for my 22 Creedmoor.
No sir....Did you have to reduce your loads any?
Blue Collar has Alpha SRP in stock if that helps $118I've used Peterson brass before. This time I want to try Alpha...Just because. Now, if I can just find some. Put my name on the waitlist yesterday at several places. I want to get the brass and dies before I call Zack and let him know I'm ready to go again!
How are you finding this brass in the 22creed? Any issues with it?The Lapua 22-250's have a neck diameter of .253 with a bullet seated. The reamer used for my 22 Creedmoor has the minimum SAMMI neck of .256 so it was a great fit for a no-turn deal.
Works great...zero issues. I lean on it pretty hard, too.How are you finding this brass in the 22creed? Any issues with it?
Are you getting any blow back of soot on your neck shoulder junction or shoulders?
Are you annealing?Works great...zero issues. I lean on it pretty hard, too.-Al
Haven't stress relieved the cases yet...they have been fired 5 times at this point. After f-forming, the f.l. bushing die is adjusted to push the shoulders back .002 (measured from a fired case with primer removed). Chamber neck is .256 and the necks measure .253 across the base of the bullet. Flash holes are equalized with a fairly aggressive chamfer around the inner flash hole. Powders are Rl15 and Benchmark. Are you annealing?
I am having issues with soot with my 22 creed and 22-250 both with lapua brass that are un-turned - I don’t anneal.
However the same chamber with turned brass is sealing up just fine - also not annealed
