OK. Getting ready to have another 22CM built as I stupidly sold my first one. On my first 22CM I shot 80 gr. Nosler CC with a 1:8 twist. I haven't seen any of those bullets in a long time. So, I plan on going with Hornady 75 gr. ELD Match bullets. I was going to have this new barrel with the same twist as my first one. However, Hornady says to use a 1:7 twist with the 75s. What say you guys?

I'm shooting 80gr ELD-M's out of a 22-243imp with a 8tw Krieger and it's stacking them up in some pretty small groups. I've shot a lot of 75gr Berger VLD's in a 22-6mm that wears a 9tw Lilja and even though I'm probably not getting the full BC of that bullet that 9tw still shoots them very well.

If you were shooting them in AR 223 I could see the need for a twist that fast but in a 22CM bolt gun an 8tw should serve you well.

I'm shooting the 75g elds in a 22 BRX 8 twist @ 3375 fps no problems here. Shot some Prarie dogs at over 600 with them.

You'll want to stick with the 8 twist, it's good to go up to the 88s..
