22 CM and small rifle primers

I need some cases for the 22 CM and was wondering about using cases with small rifle primers.

Was reading some old varmint hunter mags, and people shooting 22/243 type cases were having ignition problems at times with the SRP's. Any one using SRP's in a 22 CM, are you having any ignition problems?

In very cold conditions use cci450 or Fed-205m and you'll never have any problems. In above freezing temps you'll be good with any small rifle primer.

Rem 7 1/2's might be the hottest. I use CCI 41's in my 6.5X47 Lapua with ball powders with no problems. I would stay away from primers like the CCI 400's because they have thin cups and can extrude back into the firing pin hole in the bolt face. I had this happen with a .17 Remington and had to strip the bolt and clean every thing out with a pipe cleaner (I keep some in my range bag & other places).

I spoke directly to a tech at Alpha munitions upon purchasing my brass for my 6 creed with SRP, they said they only recommend CCI450 - great in cold weather use and also showed the lowest ES and SD among all the printers they tested. They informed me that other primers could cause ignition issues in extreme cold, and that they would put loaded rounds in the freezer and then fire them once they had cooled down to do accurate consistent testing.
