Had my trusted smith (Mark Chesebro) spin up a barrel chambered in 22BR with .255 neck and .100 freebore for the Berger 85.5 grain hybrid. Wanted something with great accuracy and minimal recoil for shooting club and local PRS style matches. Finally got some time to get some rounds down range...

Thank you sir. Valuable info. I am not clear whether yo have to turn down the necks afther sizing down the 6mm.

With the .255 neck there is no need to turn necks with Lapua brass

I shot this combination with RL 16 as the powder that gets the best velocity. I have a 1:7 twist 30 inch barrel. I turn all my necks on a competition rifle. My load is 31.2 gn. For a velocity of 3014
