22 BR or 6 BR ????

I have a 22BR with a 12 twist krieger that honestly shoots 63gr cheek bullets into dots! The last time i shot it i put 5 shots into a group that measured .087 I am seriously thinking about shooting in a ppc match just to see how it does.
I am in the process of having a 6br built on a stiller p-1000 action withe a krieger 1.350 straight barrel 8 twist for 600 yard matches. It should be home this week. I think RE15 will be the first powder i will try followed by varget. That's all i know! lee

Well I went with the 22 BR in a Hart 26" 14 twist and .256 neck. Mike Bryant is building it so I know it will shoot when he is finished. He built a 250 savage for me 2 yrs ago and it shoots bug holes with a 75gr. Thats my wind gun. And seeing how I live with in 10 miles of dog towns, I can pick good days..

Thanks for all the GREAT advise......

Not to change the thread along the same lines though My 22-250 barrel is getting close to replacement. How does the barrel life on the 22BR compare to the 22-250 barrel life ? Thanks D

I don't know how barrel life compares, but I read somewhere that the 6BR is very easy on barrels. You might want to Google Chuck Hawks. He has a huge amount of information on all calibers. It might cost you five or six bucks, but well worth it IMO.
