22 BR build advice

Thinking of building a 22 BR. Thinking a straight 1.250 barrel perhaps 28" and thinking a 1:7 twist. Looking for a very accurate long range 22 with min recoil. Any input would be appreciated.

I recently assembled one with the same goals in mind, so perhaps I can save you time and money.
I came to the conclusion that there is no ballistic advantage over a 6BR/IMP at long range (600-1000yds), and it is virtually impossible to see your .22cal holes at those ranges. Even if you have a target cam or electronic target, the increased torque from 7 or faster twist causes issues with the gun movement and your bullet jackets. Recoil is not a factor since the 6/IMP's are all "free-recoil" anyway.
The 22BR is a lot of fun with light bullets in slow twist.
I happily returned to the 6Dasher.

I have a 6 Dasher and it is fun to shoot. Also several 20 cal.'s 17 cal.'s several 6 br's perhaps I have to much stuff lol. I was just thinking it may be fun to try a 22 BR. and thanks much for your input I do appreciate it.

I understand completely. I also have too many calibers, and wish someone had offered me this advice before i added another.

I LIKE THE 22BR'S HAVE A PAIR OF THEM 1/12TWIST AND THEY SHINE WITH LIGHT WEIGHT BULLETS LIKE THE 53 GR V-MAX HOWEVER MY 22 DASHER 1/8 TWIST SHINES WITH 75 GR BERGERS LOVE IT VERY ACCURATE AND MY 223 ACKLEY 1/7 TWIST SHINES WITH 90GR BERGERS I'D SAY THE STANDARD 22BR IS ONE BEST ALL AROUND CARTRIDGE THERE IS IT HOLDS IT ON GROUND !!!!!
