22 benchrest rifle

What .22lr rifle would you buy for 100 yard benchrest? There’s a lot to choose from? Maybe my budget would be between $500 and $1000.
Thanks

Ok, I'll start the ball rolling.

100yd fun BR, serious fun BR, local club BR or full blown BR Comps.

If the latter, you need to increase your budget.

At a grand I would look for a used Anschutz Match 54, most all models will outshoot most other rifles imho.

Ah, I'm an Annie snob. :)

I have one a couple of years older and it is an excellent rifle. Very nice all purpose stock and an excellent factory trigger. Hard to beat a 54 Match....!

The Bergara B14R is winning matches iat our club against AnSchultz and Vudoo. CZ is a budget friendly option. I shoot a B14R with a Triggertech trigger. I use RWS rifle match, CenterX or the recently introduced Norma Match. I’m pretty competitive with this rig. Total cost around $1300.

What scope do you use on your B14R?

Very nice , what tuner is on your Bergera?
It’s an ATS tuner. I got it because it screws on the threaded barrel.
I find it suboptimal because there’s no stop, if you screw it in all the way it comes apart. And there’s no “longitudinal“ scale just a scale on the circumference so it’s difficult to keep track where you started. But it works, I need to verify the tune again.

I also have a B14R. Where did you get that forearm rest attachment? I've been wanting something just like that.
I put this pic rail on :

and heres the bag rider, if has a very clever attachment, I did put an inch of scotch tape on each side of the rear of the pic rail to eliminate a miniscule of movement.

Thank you, I've got one of those bag riders I just needed the pic rail I guess I though it was somehow attached to the sling swivel studs.

I picked up a used Walther KKM off the internet and added an Urban Rifleman bag rider and Weaver T-36 scope. I win my fair share of local BR matches at 50 & 100 yards. Annie's, Voodo's, 52's, Kimbers, 40X's, CZ's all take their share of wins. With and without tuners. The shooter makes more difference than the rifle in my experience. In my neck of the woods the most consistent winners shoot BR Annies with tuners but others win as well. I haven' tried a tuner yet but may go down that rabbit hole.

I have 2 "budget benchrest" rifles that do well enough to be enjoyable: one is a mid-60's Anschutz 54, the second is a Kimber 82G. Both really became competitive with the addition of a Harrels tuner which allows me not to have to search for the "right" ammunition.
