22 ammo

Around the first of the year SiG ran a special where if you buy a 1911 you get a free SIG 22 1911. I was at Gander Mountain and I wanted the special but said why buy it if you can't get 22 ammo. The counter guy said they had 22 ammo but kept it in the back and he would sale me some if I bought the special. I got the special and made him cough up a 1000 rds. of CCI mini mags at 7.99 per 100 rd. box

Last month I bought a Ruger American in 22-250 on the condition I could get some 22 ammo. Same thing again got another 1000 rds.

They have ammo but hide it in the back from the hoarders and sell to buyers. I have over 4.000 rounds.

Awe come on guys....post this in the "Rimfire" section and you'll get crucified by some and be a hero to others. Putting it another way the "well prepared" will look upon you buys as being smart. But the "ill prepared" will only continue to cry (foul) some more. And Butch, you know where that puts you and me.....hmmmm.

I would have done the samething. I went to Bass Pro Shop in Tallahassee FL. and was told they would have .22 ammo in the a.m., but it would not be on the self, it would be behind the counter,you had to ask for it. They also had a limit.

Please forgive my first post. Just found the forum. Sorry if I am not worthy of those who may know more than I.
I hoard 22's I have a 10/22, two 22 1911's that the wife and grand kiddos love to shoot.they can go through 300 to 400 in a day.
Great fun and education for everyone including myself.

I hear everyone complain about 22 shortage so just had to add my two cents.
By the way I am short on my 230 grain 45's my pick up 100 today
