I bought what I thought was a short chambered 700 in 22-250.
Then bought the reamer and gauges to make it a 22-250 AI
Reamed barrel and this it what I end up with.
All but about .060 of the shoulder is still 28 degrees.

If your reamer has a 40° shoulder, you didn't push it in far enough, your SAAMI chamber was too long, or your case isn't fully formed. The body length doesn't change very much on the AI version. What is the shoulder angle of your reamer and go gauge?

There is an AI version of the 22-250 that has a 28° shoulder.

Face the counter bore away +0.02", then cut a new one. Adjust the length of the tenon and threads for proper spacing from the bolt. Cut the chamber deeper to AI head space GO. By calculation, you should have a 'clean' .22/250 AI chamber. Check to make sure that a factory .22/250 cartridge (a new, never fired/not re-sized case will work, also) has a 'crush fit' in your new AI chamber. "Crush fit" of the factory cartridge is the 'proof'. It should have .004"- .006" crush.

shortgrass I do not have that capability I cut this chamber with a t handle and a bushing in the action.
Thanks

Looks like you bought a 'deep chambered' barrel, where the length of the tenon is adjusted to bring the chamber into proper headspace (no reamer required),,,,, instead of being 'short chambered', where a reamer is required.

Heck my Redding dies will not even bump the shoulder yet but its already going to be shooter.
Thanks to all for your help.

Sound like this chamber is within the range between go and no go, you could possibly develop a shoulder bump by facing some off or your shell holder.

Or, you could take it to someone that knows how and have them properly fit the barrel to your action and properly chamber it. As it is now, you have some sort of bastardized 22-250 with a blown out shoulder and 2 different angles on the shoulder. You can jack around all you want with dies and shell holders and it won't cure the situation you have created.

You cant just run an AI reamer into a standard chamber. It just doesnt work. The AI chamber is shorter, so you cant run a reamer in and make it shorter. This is going to take the touch of an experienced gun builder to rectify, one thats familiar with ackley chambering.

It looks to me like you have just cut the body taper out and still need to advance the reamer. Hold a case next to the reamer and mark the reamer with a sharpie as to how far it should go in, It will be approximate. Sneak up on it. Ackley chambers are 0.004 shorter than the parent chambering, So even if you get the chamber cut to where it looks right, Your chamber will be too long and you will get case head failures. People do this all of the time, But it's not right.

Refer to this thread for a better understanding of how it works.

yes I can have it fixed no big loss have someone just down the road.
Was told by someone that should know that it would work .
Short chamber ? not

Most 'short chambered' barrels sold by the barrel makers are in the neighborhood of 0.025" short. Without doing the math, that ain't enough to run an AI reamer in and turn it into an AI.
