22-250ai speed?

Well guys maybe my chrony is optimistic but it is "in the ball park" with other loads. And yes some barrels are faSTER BUT i INVITE ANY DOUBTERS to bring there cronygraf and do there own measyrements. I put 15 loads thru the same brass (win) brfore the primer pockects even started to loosen. YMMV and obviosly does.

22-250 AI on Rem 40X with 26" Broughton 8 twist. 77 gr. Berger - 39 gr. Rel. 22- 3110fps. "one hole" and rips those dogs apart.

you may want to look at the 22x47 lapua also, I ran one last year for a coyote rifle.
BAT machine receiver 27" 1-8 lilja 3 groove barrel.
38.2 g H4350 gave me 3400 fps with a berger 80g vld with no issues.
On a side note i have used this in -10 temperatures and have no problems with ignition while using the fgm 205 primers.
I am sure the 22-250 AI would be capable of duplicating the 22x47 velocity, I just have an opinion that the 22x47 by design may have a slight edge in overall accuracy and brass life. JMHO.

I bought my 22x47 dies from redding, they had one on the shelf at the time. You will want to get a 6x47
full length sizer as well, 6.5 to 6 to 22. Pretty simple process.

I'm shooting a 26" Douglas, 80 gr SMKs and 41 grains of IMR 4831.

Not a common powder but it just works in this gun. 3375fps, low spreads and great accuracy. Many sub 1" 300 yard groups, one half incher at 400 yards (probably was a fluke but it did it) and its consistent at 4" at 600 yards.

Shot a pronghorn with it at 525 yards last year and it didn't take more than three steps.

LOVE this cartridge with the heavy bullets.

I can't tell you what the velocity is, but you can use .220 Swift loading data. This is what my gunsmith told me. I load Vithavouri N140 powder and Sierra 55gr. Blitzkings in the mountains at high elevations. I think that I am loading about 36.5 grains.

If you guys want to live in that 3200-3350 fps range just keep using that RL22 and 4831. If you want to free up that ackley to do what you built it for than use IMR4350 or better yet RL17. YOU WILL SEE THE LIGHT.
