Will a 22-250AI feed from a internal remington 700 box magazine properly? I have finally after a lot of thinking started buying pieces for my 22-250Ai coyote rifle project. I only have the barrel but it should be a dandy!! I found a rock creek rem 700 varmint contour 8 twist. Now all i need is a stock and an action. LOL!! Hey by the way lets see some of your 22-250Ai rifles or coyote rifles either way. its cold here today and i am extremely bored!! Lee

thanks i just didnt know. I will be using 75gr or 80gr bullets the majority of the time but i will hopefully also use 60gr v-max, if they shoot well in the 8 twist barrel i got. Lee

Lee, Why take your boredom out on us..... ;D
where are yotes in your neck of the woods...

My 22-250 AI is built on a Ruger M77 MK 2 and I have had no problems with it feeding rounds with 69 gr Noslers.

Mine is built on a savage short action and feeds from the mag ok.It also shoots lights out with the shilen select match barrel and the B&C a-2 stock.I went with a 22 inch barrel as here in new york there is lots of brush and a short barrel makes life alittle easier.LOL The brass doesnt grow to epic proportions either as I hate trimming.

I have a 98 action with a #4 Lilja 10 twist on it. Put a magazine block in & it controll feeds perfectly. ;D

coyotes, Yes we have lots of them. I call them Ditch dogs as they run the water ways in our rich black dirt, flat land of central Illinois. we have some of the best deer country around as well and the woods are full of them too. know most all the farmers in and around my farms and my friends farms so we dont have any problem finding places to hunt. I rebuilt my bench rigs this past year and had to sell my little 6br rem 700 i used to hunt with last year so i am in need of a new rig. I have shot a few dogs this year with a 30br but it just doesnt shoot flat enough and just punches holes in the dogs.
I am buying parts but i dont think the rifle will be done until spring so i am in no real hurry as this year will be some what of a wash anyway. I am thinking 22-250AI or maybe, just maybe a 22dasher. Not sure how that would feed either out of a magazine. I will probably go with the 250AI. I got me a good barrel coming but thats it. Money is tight as i have spent my stash, so i will just buy the rest as i can. Most likely will be a rem 700 or stiller tac30. Although the Pierce action looks very nice!! We will see! There it is, I bet your really bored now!! LOL!! Lee

Feeds fine.....

Thanks Alf!! Nice rifle by the way!!! How does it shoot? tell us a little about it! Lee

The gun's a trued 700, hard chromed by Metaloy, 23'" #3 Rock 8 twist, McM Classic, Talleys, 3.5-10 CDS, runnin' the 75 A-Max moly a bit over 3500.

I really really like it! I also have a rock 8 twist in a rem 700 varmint contour for my project. I was going to use an HS varmint stock but after seeing your mcmillan i may try to go that route! Thanks for sharing! Lee

Lee the hs precision is a fine varmint ready stock and just as nice as some of the mcmillans I have seen. The only thing about the hs is it is heavier.Kevin rayhills stocks shouldnt be overlooked, they are light and well made. You can buy some of them out of the mold for 225.00.All you have to do is the finishing work.It is completely inletted.Sand fill and paint, shoot.Alot less money than some out there.I have one on my 260 remmy on a savage action. It is the elk hunter and I love it. Just get a remington reciever and have the minimum done to it and have some fun.If my original 700VS in 22-250 can shoot in the high .2's,it will do.The remmys are not that bad.Keep us updated. We are bored here in new york state.
