Does anyone have some data with the 22-250 and the 60 grain sierra TMK
I HAVE A 1-9 TWIST barrel i wanna use with this 60 grain tmk. i wanna know what powder will perform better Varget or cfe 223

Don't overlook H4350 or R17. Those powders work extremely well in the .22-250 with heavier bullets. I had a Savage model 12 Varmint with a 26" 12 twist barrel that would literally one hole a 69gr Match King with Reloader 17. It wouldn't shoot the TMK worth a dang but it sure loved the standard ones.

Did you ever try CFE223 ?
No I didn't.

When I can, I try to stay with single based powders, and powders that are more temperature stable.

I live in northern Wisconsin and my reloads can easily be subjected to temperature variations of 100 degrees.

I have used CFE 223 with 55gr bullets and 68gr and had excellent accuracy. Not super fast, like 3600 and 3400 respectively. I quit going when the groups got small. Sorry Hornady bullets for both.

This probably won’t help you too much but I’ve used some StaBall6.5 with the 64 grain Bergers and also with the 65 grain Sierra GK.
Good accuracy with both

In the past for 60 grain bullets in a .22-250 I have had success with H414 at well over book charge weight. I am told that this is the same powder as Winchester 760. For my purposes temperature sensitivity has not been an issue because I have loaded just before shooting and adjusted the load in the same temperature. I never load large quantities for use over time.
