Ryan,
Personally, I think you will like the 75gr Amax over the 50gr Nosler. The 75 grain AMax has a published BC of .453, and the Nosler a BC of .267. The Amax is going to noticably stretch out your range.
There are lots of great loads on ammoguide.com for the 22-250. I highly suggest you take a look at membership-its cheap and very useful. It has 120 loads just for the 22-250, but I could only find one for H4831 and it was a 39.5 grain max-compressed load that only produced 3320 FPS with a 50 grain bullet, which is on the slower side for a 22-250. The same bullet behind Varget, H380 or H4895 should produce 3600-3700 FPS.
The MAX loads I found for the 75 gr Amax are:
33.4 grains of IMR-4895
37.2 grains of H-4350
38.1 grains of H-414
,remember to reduce to start)
I'm a huge fan of the .22-250. Its a great varmint cartridge. Due to the large case taper and shallow shoulder of the .22-250, you will start to see cases stretch out and you will have to start trimming them. Since you are already hand loading, I would encourage you to look at having your rifle reamed to the .22-250 Ackley Improved. It has virtually no case taper, up to a 40 degree shoulder, and a higher case capacity from approximately 47 grains to 51 grains, water), leading to virtually no case stretching, less bolt thrust and higher velocities. There is no special trick to fire forming the cases either. Just load and shoot. My experience is that while fire forming cases, the rifle is just as accurate as the original chamber. Its just when you are done, you have the AI cases which, with the extra case capacity, result in a typical 200 fps increase, all while maintaining accuracy and increasing case life.
Hope that helps some!
Ben
