22-250 twist rate help

Will a 1:9 twist stabilize an 80 gr A-max out of a 22-250? McGowan only has 1:9 and 1:7 twist Savage barrels and I am thinking the 1:7 will be too much for 55 gr bullets if and when I shoot them.

Looks like it will stabilize quite well with the 1-9 twist.
Seems to be a pretty heavy bullet selection for the standard 22-250. Is that so you can buck those winds over on the 'east side'?

From what I have read that the 75 grain A-MAX is about the heaviest bullet for a 1-9 twist to stabilize efficiently. I have a Savage LRPV with a 1-9 twist so I was reading to find out the heaviest I could shoot. You may try a few and see because barrels do differ some what.

Late in the summer the gophers get a little wise and don't like to pop up close to the pickup. It would be nice to shoot the guys at 5-600 yards that think they are safe with heavier bullet. Of course there is wind here. ;D
