22-250 lapua brass in 6-47 lapua chamber

I don't know about Camac but all I used to form 6.5 CM from .308 was a body die and normal amount of lube. Lubed on a pad like normal, kicked it through a FL size die. Trim, neck turn. Done.

Ok - I have explained this a few times recently but will try and elaborate here and then refer back when needed.
Step 1) back die right out in press as high as it will go with a couple of threads left in press. Press down on handle.
Step 2) raise handle a little, turn die down about 1/16 of a turn, push down on handle again. Continue this process rocking up and down until you hit some resistance (shoulder). Do a little of the shoulder then remove shell and put aside for next stage. Do this with all your shells before moving on. It is quite a quick process to get to this point.
Step 3) Cut off shells to about 48mm length (a little longer than required finish length as they compress a bit.)
Step 4) I anneal the shells here making sure heat gets down to shoulder.
Step 5) return to step 2 and continue to rock down until FL sizing is done.
Step 6) Trim to required length
Step 7) Put through expander mandrel and turn down brass to required neck size (quite thick at this stage)
Step 8 ) FL size again and load.
Took me an afternoon to make a couple of hundred shells. Biggest jobs were annealing, trimming and turning - not the press.

Thanks. I'm already slowly working the brass back in small adjustment just as you mentioned. Its the last 1/2 turn of the Die ( in smaller inceaments)that buckles the shoulder area real bad. Just back from where the 6XC would be if I where sizing that case instead of the 6X47. I took some pick up brass ( 22-250 remington) from the range to experiment with to see if Icould do get it right before I worked on some new brass. The Swiss Match has a long neck too that I think might be coumpounding the problem. Maybe anneling is the Answer. Anythoughts to that? DJ's brass service is in my town so that should be easy to get done.
Not much 6X47 Swiss brass laying around the country so I figuree I getter start making some for the day when the RAUG brass is all used up.

We posted at the same time. Ill try Annealing. I think thats my issue right now.
Im doing everything else the same.

Thanks guys.

No worries, Let us know how you go, annealing will definately help but I will double emphasise the importance of wiping out the lube too (even if you are onto it) it seems to be the only place I go wrong in my process - letting it build up.

I would actually like to make a long BR (about a 6*43) by sending my BR reamers in deeper and sizing down the 6.5*47L brass the same way. Trying to get Dasher + performance but utilise the faster powders than a 6*47L so the small primer and flashole works properly. - just for fun and trying to come up with a simple method for people with BR reamers and dies to get a bit more performance at no significant cost (apart from brass - a pity the 6.5*47 is so $$pricey$$).
My current 6*47 project came about by driving the 6BR reamer in deeper so that I could use the BR Seating die and reamer.
The FL die was made by just sending my Roughing/resizing reamer in deeper too. It worked surprisingly well but I don't think I could get the 308 brass back much further as the walls are getting pretty thick there.
