I looked for a heavy TTSX all thru my summer travels, nobody had them. Was also interested in the Hornday CX. Nada to be found

I would want to use a lighter bullet in the TSX than in a lead-core bullet. The light TSX's have the benefit of great velocity plus penetration. They can be run very fast without blowing up mid-flight. I have found that, in all of my medium-to-big-game rifles, I can use a lighter bullet than what I had previously used in a leaded option. For example, I used to use 180 grain lead-core in my 7 mm Rem Mag, whereas I now use 125, 140 or 150 TTSX. In my .375 H&H, I used 280's or 300's and I now use 235 TSX and similar weight reductions in my .257 Roberts, 6.5 Grendel, .308, etc. If I could legally shoot deer in my State with a .223, I'd feel comfortable with a 70-grain TTSX and a well-aimed shot, whereas I'm not a fan of the .223 for deer as a rule. Your 8 twist barrel is a plus here.

Was looking for the 62 grain TTSX, none to be found. Shooting the 80 grain ELD-M today with Reloder 16. Groups are bigger than I'd hoped & velocity less

Got the load all dialed in I'm using the 80 ELD-X at 3100, it will put 5 rested rounds into 1" at 100 yards quite consistently

Got it zeroed +2" high
