I am trying to decide on a twist rate that will shoot from 40-75 grain bullets out of a 22-250. I am thinking that a 10-twist might get it done at my elevation (5000').

It looks like Vd raised to the 2.25 power. What is the 'V'?
sirius27c said:Huge fan of the 8 twist, there are times when a know I could shoot 90's with a 7 twist, but the versatility of the 8 twist is hard to beat, and tho9se 80 Bergers work pretty good.

What kind of speed do you get with the 80's?
Don't have it anymore but I got 3150 out of mine with 80gr SMKs. Worked well for long range prarie dogs for about 800 rounds and I never let it get too hot
