22-250 custom stock help and scope help

I recently traded for a savage 12 22-250 and its a really nice shooting gun groupings are 1/4" at 100 yards.
I got the gun mostly for coyote hunting and a little target shooting from time to time.

I am new to any gun customizing so any help would be great!

Questions/needing guidance:

I would like to ditch the factory stock. Problem is I'm a LH shooter with a RH gun so finding a stock has been an issue for me. I also have no clue as to what style of stock to consider.

I've been looking at scopes but I just can't quite find the right one for me. The gun currently has a bushnell banner 3x9 40mm and I'm not super impressed with it.

I've got a bipod on it but I think it came from walmart. it's nice but nothing great..

I've found a few websites that offer LH stocks just didn't know if any were better than the other.

Boyds told me they can't make a LH stock for a RH gun..

Re: 22-250 stock help and scope help

You might try at Stocky's. They have a large variety.
As for the scope, a Sightron 6x24x42 is a well liked scope
with good quality for the cost. If you want to pay more for
greater magnification you could try a Sighton 8x32x56.

I don't think the stock making company's duplicating machines
are set up for the type you're after. You might have to buy a
blank & have it custom made, or trade your bolt out for a lefty.
There may be other ideas I'm unaware of.

Thank you for the advise! I'm still looking for options. I just haven't found anything yet.. Been doing more right handed shooting and trying to retrain myself.

Obviously the barrel is a shooter, either order a custom stock or switch out the action with a LH action. The way a savage is designed switching the action shouldn't hurt the accuracy.

Go to Boyd's again and look at the Pro varmint . It's designed to be both left and rt shooter . It's a good platform .

I have a savage model 10 LH that I shoot RH. It is set in a Savage VLP stock, since it doesn't have a raised cheek (montecarlo ? ) it is very comfortable to shoot. I think the BVSS stock is the same style.
just somthing to consider E

Have Dusty pillar bed it, then you can final sand and finish it. I think Minwax Poly is better and easier to work with than Tru oil + tougher and easier to touch up.
