22-250 case fill options

So I have been running 32g of varget in my 1:9 twist 22-250 with a 69smk running 3310fps with good, sd and es but there is alot of excess space in the case. What is some better powder fill options you guys are using ? Thanks

H1000, 4831SC, etc. will give you similar speed/pressure with a higher fill, but if I had Varget working as good as you say I would run with it.

If your load is working as it is and accuracy is really good, just stay with it and do not worry that the case is not fully filled.

I know this might sound strange but the most accurate powder I ever tested in the 22 250 (14" twist) was IMR 4350 with 50 grain Nosler BT's. And yes, there is published data on this combo in the Nosler 5th Edition Reloading Manual. Case fill was about 90%.

It is. It normally shoots in the 2s and 3s at 100

Howdy !

IMHO - you won't be able to fill the case w/4350, under that grain wt bullet; w/o excess pressure.

For a powder w/ faster " burn rate " than 4831, and still a temp stable powder; you might consider Winchester 6.5 StaBal ? Case fill would be a bit more than if WW760 were used.

That rifle has an 8 twisted barrel from Brad @ Urbanrifleman. I’m using 34.5 grains of VV N160, Winchester blue bag brass and federal lg rifle match primers.
I ran (3) over the chrono and they averaged 2934 fps. Not very fast but they shoot ok out to 500, that’s as far as I’ve tried them. Didn’t chrono any with the H4350.
