22-250 barrel twist

A faster twist will give you the option of longer/heavier weight bullets. With a 14 twist you will be limited to 55 gr., but even at that your tightest groups would be with 50 gr. The 22-250 has the case powder capacity to easily handle 69 to 75 gr. bullets, that will add yardage to your downrange performance. The faster twists will still do an excellent job with the lighter weight bullets. I personnaly would go with a 9 twist. :)

I have a Savage LRPV in 22-250 1 - 9 twist 26" barrel and it shoots the 55 gr. BTs as tight as it does the 69 gr. SMK. I think I could shoot a little heavier and maybe a little lighter bullet but have not tried either as of yet. Bill
