22-250 and 50grn Barnes tsx

I use H380 but I also use mag primers in the load. Excellent accuracy. I'm using an Ackley chamber so my load data will be too hot for you.

Be SURE you give them a jump. Most times they start shooting at about twenty thou, more won't hurt and sometimes it helps. They will shoot, just stay focused
I had read that. i think Barnes recommended starting at .050 of the lands. I got my rifle back from the smith. So, with any luck in the morning im finally going to start the loading process.

Seating depth test with a 6BR and 85gr Barnes TSX shown below. As with jacketed lead bullets, seating depth does matter, and with the monolithic bullets you do want them well off the lands. Seating depth is written in the lower left corner of each target, and two targets were shot with my best 95gr Berger VLD load (0.005" into the lands) as controls. 3-shot groups, 100 yards, off a bipod. The load I chose for the TSX is 0.025" off the lands.

Well, i finally had some time. I loaded up 36.0 and 36.4 of Varget. So either this weekend or next I'll get out and try it.

Well, Barnes bullets have always shot well in the other rifles I've tried them in. Next weekend I will finally get a chance to test my loads out. I don't plan on them being my primary bullet in this rifle, v-max will do just fine for that. I have plans to harvest a whitetail deer with the Barnes bullet.

Save yourself some money and use the old 70 speer semi spitz. Better expansion and less runners. Kills en drt for one third the price
