22-250 AI 1&9 twist

If you are using fireformed brass you can use data for the standard cartridge for starter loads. I normally use the max listed load and work up from there.

Never tried the 75 Amax, but I worked up loads with the 80 AMax and the 80 SMK with good success using IMR 4350, IMR 4831, and RE-22. I don't have any load tables that have Varget or Benchmark. If you send me a PM with your email, I will send you the Sierra load tables for the 22-250 AI on pdf. Luck, Tim

I run H414 with the 75 Amax in my 27" 9 twist 22-250AI.
Never tried the the powders you are looking at.
Settled on 38 to 38.5 gr depending on brass.
3350 to 3450 fps.
CCI 200.
Start lower and work up.

38 grains of H4350 is what I shoot with the 75 amax. Low spreads and no pressure signs. FF loads were under 1/2" with 37 grains.

After FF and a little tinkering 38 grains is what I settled on. My Rem 700 with a 28" shilen shoots in the .3s consistantly with plenty of groups in the .1s and .2s

I use 39 grains of Reloader 22 to push 75gr Amax in 22x47 Lapua, which is very similar to 22-250AI. Does not punish brass, but the combo has fantastic killing power and accuracy. I used this to harvest two deer this season.

How much should I back off the 39gr of RL-22 for a 22-250AI from the 22x47 for 75gr A-Max's? I use RL-22 in my 300WM and it's always nice to share powders.

Thanks

I dont know this for fact but i was always told to use 220 swift data for the 22-250Ai chambering. Lee

I know but there isn't a lot of 220 swift load data for heavies, not to mention using newer powders...the ol' swift isn't at the top of it's game anymore.

Just try 4350. Its a proven powder for the AI with heavies. No sense in dicking about trying to get something else to shoot. You don't want to burn that precious barrel up with load development
