22-250 35-40 grain loads

anyone sending these bullets to warp speeds?

looking to run the 35 hornady ntx or 40 nosler varmageddons.

really wanting to only use viht powders, anyone have any load data and what speeds are you getting?

would really be happy with the 40 grain at 4200+ and the 35 at 4500

I have some factory Federal ammo 22-250 40 gr vmax, box says 4200. Can't confirm, chronograph just gave an error message. I need one of the new Garmins. I would think 4000 I would be easy with many powders.

Sig has 40 gr 22-250 ammo. They spec 3975 muzzle velocity. I have used Varget load data for that expected velocity and the loads were very accurate, 40 gr Nosler bt.

i saw hornady superformance 35 ntx advertised at 4400 i believe

I use varget in my 22-250AI for light bullets. I would think vh140 should work equally well. I can easily get 4000 out of mine with a 50g bullet so I would think what your wanting should be possible

Just back from the range with RL15 & the 40 V-geddon. With 2" more barrel I'm still 100fps slower than Nosler #9 max. velocity. They all shot well going up from 35 to 37 gr., around 1/2" 4 shot groups @ 100 yds. It was the last of the 40s. Maybe more next month.

Check the Nosler data, for N140 looks like max is compressed, but N135 might be your ticket. check both normal and fast twist tabs for 40gr.

I'm still working up loads for my re-barrelled Swifts, but next are the 22-250's so following this even though I tend to shoot 50-55 in those and now I have one that 1:12 so going to try something like 62gr in that.

i have n133, n140, n540, n150, and n160 coming soon. According to GRT, n540 is the ticket for the 35-55 pills. I will be posting load data and results when I am done.
