22-243 Winchester shooters

my dies keep getting back ordered all i really need is a Full length die i've got good seaters.
any body using a 243 bushing die? my neck is .256 i'm assuming even if i could use a bushing on initial sizing the donut would be terrible?

I built my first one probably 26 years ago to shoot milk jugs at 1,000 yards. Lots of fun and the students all enjoyed it as well.

I tried to order dies and they all said wait a year or more but pay through the nose!

That was the straw that broke the camel's back! I started cutting my own dies and never looked back. Screw them!

I had MUCH better barrel life than expected with my 22-243AI. I shot it extensively with a max load of RE22 and a 75 A-Max @ 3,670 ft/sec. It was extremely accurate and lasted about 1,000rds. I never shot it hot and cleaned it regularly.

Eventually, I had 3 inches cut off the chamber end and rechambered it to 22-243 (plain) and it shot just as well but now preferred 80gr bullets at a reduced velocity. I don't know how many additional rounds I would have gotten because I git bitten by the 6mmBR bug and rebarreled the rifle.

What twist is yours? I was given a wildcat of some sort that is a 22-243 based deal, and its a 9 twist. I wanted to shoot the heavier bullets but not sure if it will like them. It was setup to run 69 sierras

I wouldn't hesitate to use a full length neck sizer for a standard 243, i bought a reamer for one and haven't used it yet, we switch the build to a 22/284, still awaiting parts for that one too. good luck, update us on some bushings sizes that seam to work best. thanks
