I recently purchased a used re-chambered Savage factory barrel that's now a 22-243 Middlestead. I also have a RCBS die set.
Would anyone happen to know what the base to datum measurement is for the Midd? Also, at what diameter is the datum measured on the shoulder?
I'm wanting to get the rifle together but gauges could be 2-3 weeks or more out. If anyone has a gauge I could buy or borrow, I'd appreciate it. The info above will greatly help as well as I should be able to headspace off a sized case but I really do like to have the gauge handy.
