22-204 with 77, 80gr bullets

I am curious if anyone has put 77 or 80 gr bullets in a 22-204. How was the velocity? How long were the loaded rounds overall?

I've ran nothing but Berger VLD's in all of my 22-204's, either 75 or 80 grain.

75's in a couple of 22" tubes are at 3075.

Once I got low on 75's, I switched to 80's, as they were cheaper than the 75's for some reason.

80's now run 3075 in a couple of 24" tubes.

3115 in a 26" tube.

Over all length is at 2.575" in the lands a bit.

Almost sounds like a person could cut the front out of an ar15 mag enough to fit 5 rounds to fit 77s and single load 80s.

Anyone have a 6mm-204 reamer?

I Built my 6mm-204 by rechambering a 6x47 Rem. with a 22-204 Reamer with a 6mm pilot on it, There is a great article in the 2012 Hogdon Load Data Magazine. I built mine in 2006, and just run 55-62gr bullets for coyote hunting. I just pulled the barrel this year to build a 20P on the action.
