21st century vs pma neck turn tool

I've got the PMA model B, non-adjustable. Love it, but it can be a bear to re-adjust if you want to change anything. If I had it to do over, I'd have gotten the model A and been done with it. Excellent quality, easy to use (fits my hand well) and PMA is great to do business with!

Ive got the 21st century and its been nothing but a breeze to use. Bigger size lends itself to easier grip while turning and lessening hand fatigue. Switching out mandrels is a snap and the micro adjustable trimming bit makes fine tuning easy. No regrets here.

I got a 21st, set up was quick and easy, it's comfortable in my hand, cuts are extremely consistent, I do all my case turning by hand with plano steel mandrels using Imperial wax as lube. I have no other experience with any other turner, but liked that the cutter is angled for whatever case your turning, I also like that K&M carbide turning mandrels can be used if donuts are a problem, and finally price, shipping was included, I'm sure any of the high end(21St, PMA, K&M, Sinclair 4000) turners will do exactly the same job, I let my wallet decide and would do it again

The PMA can be had with a carbide mandrel whereas the 21CS can be had with a nitride mandrel. Both can be had with steel mandrels. The carbide I understand is much better, but at $49.95, is expensive. The 21CS can be attached to their lathe setup which appears to work well. The PMA cannot. See this for more info.

I have the 21st C turner and I can vouch for it. I agree with 427 in that I believe any of the higher end turners would do a good job.
