21st Century Shooting Hydro Bullet Seater

You know what. I’m in the wrong for suggesting this guy gets the boot. This isn’t my sandbox. I don’t get a say.

To those that do not know, “johara1” is Jim O’Hara. He knows what he’s talking about. He’s not puffing hot air. He’s proven what he says where it counts. On the shooting line against national competition.

So, what about you, Guffey? What have you done? Besides blow a metric buttload of hot air?

Thanks for this info. Did not know it was him, but somehow I had concluded, based on the substance of his post in this thread and others, that he was the real deal, not just a theorist.

You missing the point, I don't need that worthless info. in need to know where the bullet is seated relations to the lands, the is worthless you can't fix stupid.... jim

the is worthless you can't fix stupid....

I hope that is not what you are trying to do. Again, I use transfers, no Hornady/Sinclair tool; all that is required is a height gage.

You’re very welcome. And just to be clear to the crowd, when I say Jim has proven himself at the highest level of competition, I mean that he has set like a half dozen world records and won more national-level events than you can shake a stick at.

Plus, Jim is super helpful. He has given me super helpful advice.

I have never seen anybody claim to measure in tensions but guff says everybody measures in tensions- what am i missing here? Ive seen pretty much everybody say how many pounds it took to seat a bullet. Again, where is the tensions claims?

Maybe I didn't paint a good picture, I will try again.... My point was when I was trying to shoot the Spencers they were Fat .2437 pressure ring and shank size was .2432 I wanted to shoot them in to the lands if I could. first I like to find zero and it was impossible, because it would pull the bullets on a dummy round, no matter how much neck tension I used. With all the trial and error I ended up jumping them.
What I did find was no matter how much you sizer them and no matter how much seating force it took they pulled the same. End result bullet pull was near zero with .001 neck tension or .005 neck tension. Spring back is your neck tension..... jim

I’ll ask again, show me the tools-gages as you call them.

I did, but you and other members were so busy hollering, 'PICK ME, Pick Me" and that caused panic among the members, they were afraid they were not going to be the go-to reloader. And me? I do not care, my method and or techniques have been included in stickies on different forums for years.

Most of you members are too desperate for attention, attention? I do not need it. And then one day a new member on another forum wanted to know about chamber casting. I could say I can not believe the members of The Reloaders Nest treated him in a manner rather rude but they did. I contacted him off line and worked with him over the phone and now I am so proud of him because he is now the premier chamber caster. And then the forum has scattered all of those rude reloaders everywhere, the last time I checked the forum no longer exist.
