21st Century Bag Filler Tool

michaelnel

Old and In The Way
You know, I felt silly buying this thing. $30 seems like too much money for a whoozit to fill sandbags with. But then I thought about how much time I have spent cussing sand and bags while filling them, and they never really got filled right. So I added one to an order for something more expensive, hiding it in the noise.

It sat around for several days unused, because my bags were not empty. But then I got to looking at my Edgewood MiniGater and it was a little flaccid. So were the ears. I busted out the tool and tried it.

That thing makes topping off sand so easy it is almost fun! I was able to stick that spout in there and direct the sand to where it needed to be, and the bag was topped off in short order. No sand spilled, either.

Yeah, it's too much money. But like all 21st Century stuff it is top notch. I'm glad I bought it if only for the frustration it saves me on getting sand into sandbags.

I bought one at the nationals in Raton a couple years ago. These things work so good, I bring one around for big matches. The only problem is, most of my "buddies" know I have it. I go now go though more heavy sand.... And all my bags are full. Still, this is an awesome piece of equipment. It makes life much easier.

Have you found any bottles other than the one that comes with it that will fit the threads?

I have struck out with various water, juice, and soda bottles. I would like to have another bottle so I could have one with heavy sand and one with play sand.

The worlds best and easiest way to fill your sandbags!
Machined Billet Aluminum and Stainless Steel will last forever.
Uses standard water bottles.
Absolutely no mess!
Keeps all the sand in your bag. Pack it as tight as you want.

hehe I hate filling bags, that said this might be ok, 21st century makes good stuff, I love the the brass primer.

I know it says that. But it won't use any water bottle I have found, so my question is, specifically, what water bottle can I buy that will fit this tool?

+1
I would be interested to know what water bottle works with these also. I have put up with a cross threaded combo that makes a big mess when it comes apart!

I have found that the filling foes a bit faster if I place the bag on top of my vibratory cleaner while filling with a long slender spout funnel.

Wow! I was unaware of this neat little tool. Thanks for posting this. Filling bags can be a PITA. I beat on side of bag with a large screwdriver handle while adding the sand and it takes a while to get the desired results along with spilling sand..
