215 Berger Hybrids in .300 RUM

I have been having great success with Hybrids in 6 MM and 6.5 MM that I was browsing Berger website last nite looking at .30 cal offering's. I am currently shooting 208 A-Max in my custom .300 RUM but feel it can do better. Anyone playing with these 215 Hybrids in their .300 RUM from 500 to 1000 yards?

I used to shoot the 208 A max until I tried the 215. I am able to shoot the 215 Berger at the same speed as the 208. From what I read on other forums the 215 has a shorter drive band and you can push it the same speed or faster. I went out
Yesterday and tested this bullet and i was 1/2 moa higher at 600. 1 moa higher at 1000 and 6 moa higher at one mile. Great bullet use your same load as the 208 and try them out. You will be extremely happy

Tim, thanks so much for the reply, I just ordered 200 the other day and will plug them in. Sounds good as to the lower pressure and less drop.

What powder are you using in the RUM with the 215 Bergers?

wboggs, I was going to ask Tim also, I am using N570 and Retumbo in my RUM with 208 A-Max and will probably stick with those 2 powders.

Both powder should be fine. Im sure your going to love the 215s
