210 accubond long range

Any one tried them or shooting them?? I have a bunch and was thinking about trying them in my one WSM.... But not really sure if I will like them for Benchrest, but I am running out of choices since my 30 cal bullet supply is getting low.

They shoot fine in my 300WM. They jacket is a tad thicker/heavier so close ranges out to 200 they don't really open dramatically. Past that they are ok. I typically get 1/2 moa with them.

When we shot the Accubond in a .338-408 Cheytac, the BC was low and at around 1300 yards they went out of control. To the point you couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. They didn't shoot horrible but not as good as Sierra and Berger. Matt

They might do ok at a 1000. I would at least test them. We just couldn't shoot far with them. Matt

i tried them in the 300 rum I got from you and gun went from 1/4 in @ 100 to over 3in @ 100yds. I have never been able to get accubonds to shoot in any of me guns. I am just a berger man!

You know me, I wont be ok if I can't get them to act right out too MAX distance. I might text a few just for the heck of it though.

Can you help me understand why the bullets won't open up for the first 200 yards?

I get confused when people say this because I would assume the bullets would open up better due to their higher velocity. Hunting bullets that I have been able to compare usually have more expansion the greater the velocity, this includes solid copper Barnes out of a 25-06 the only cartridge I have made shots that I can make the comparison. Plus, the 200 yard rule of thumb doesn't make much sense because a .308 would be going substantially slower than say a 300 RUM and if there was a speed above which the bullets did not open up that speed would be at different ranges for each cartridge.
