I'm running 36grs of 4007 through mine. Barrel will be done after this winter....three seasons and out for that one!

I'm sure that someone has already come up with another wildcat that can outrun, outlast and outshoot this caliber but I wanted one anyway and have shot it for two years now. I've mainly shot it in the winter at coyotes but have shot some prairie dog towns too. It didn't turn out to be the pelt friendly gun I had hoped for but then again they don't run away either. Unbelievable on prairie dogs too.

What can I say? I love it. I shoot 55 grain Bergers through it with 39.0 grains of N550. I started with the 6xc Norma case and necked it down and shaved it off. It will definitely blow through a barrel and I believe another one will be needed after this year.

I think most of these wildcats are in the eye of the beholder and you can pick any of them apart but if you think you might be interested in one of these I wouldn't be afraid to try one out.

Originally they were running about 4000 but they have slowed down now to around 3800. I am no expert on how rifles behave or what causes their behavior but I believe that the throat erosion has slowed them down. Could be totally incorrect I guess but for whatever reason they have slowed. Still plenty fast for what I'm doing with them but scope turret is off a bit out at distance.
