Pardon the print quality, but the group on the right reflects 5 rounds @100yds, 18.3gr of RL-7, VMax 32gr, CCI-BR4 primers, R-P brass. The rifle is a Rem 700 VSSF in .223 that I recently had rebarreled to .20 Vartarg. Needless to say, after that group I decided I'd found my load for the 32gr VMax.

What about wind deflection at 300 yards and beyond? What is the BC of the 32grain VMAX? Too me this .204 caliber seems to offer less potential advantage at ranges of 500-1000yards except maybe flatter trajectories over say 22-250AI shooting a 80grain bullet at 3400fps or 6mmBR with 87grain V-Max at 3200fps...

I'm not sure I'm sold on the little fast bullet that is light... I mean I love the 6mm VLD's because they offer great bc's and less recoil over the 6.5mm brothers but I'm not sure I'm sold on the .20 caliber over the .22 caliber projectiles... Perhaps I just like my .223Rem too much?
