205 Berger elite hunting bullets

Has anybody had an opportunity to try these bullets yet? I just ordered a couple hundred to try in a 300 wsm and 300 win mag and did a search on here but there ain’t much on em yet. Thank you.

I bought some to try but haven’t got around to it. Was going to use in my 300 wsm 26” barrel. With RL23, the 200.20x are shooting great with a .037” jump. I am loading 66.5 grains for 2900. CCI 250’s. Guessing these would be close in powder charge.

I use the 208 long range hybrid and its got similar advertised bearing surface and base to ogive length, and in norma brass i find 65.3-65.5 re23 to be a node, 2860 fps in a 24”. Seated long like 2.418 base to ogive in hornady comparator. 205 i think would be close. Very similar charge for my 210 vld as well just different seat

ya. im using them in my 300 wsm. i got them to shoot phenomenal with a pile of different combos. .002-.004 neck tension, 3 different powders including 23, seating from .005-.065 off. reloader 23 was really accurate. just use the mild node. im currently using a really mild load of h4350 with the 205 at 2750 in a 22" barrel. has shot a pile of sub 1/4 moa groups out to 600. at 1000 i shot a 3.1" group for 4 shots. 210m primer was better than the other ones I tried. im gonna finish up building another 300 wsm for myself on a long action with 23.5" benchmark carbon and will try out the 208s and 215's. Have over 20k of the 208s on the shelf. Plan on trying N555 first.

I read through the thread you started about your wsm, lots of good info. My gun is a long action Mack bros, a proof sendero 9 twist I got from you in a mesa precision stock. It’s throated so a 205 is slightly above neck shoulder junction. I hope I can make mine shoot as well as yours does. I was hoping for 2900fps with this 26” but who knows where she’ll want to be. I’m shooting it for the first time Sunday. We shall see.

2900 with reloader 23 won't be a problem. I had a great node at 2860 fps in my 22" barrel.
