204 Ruger Bullet Splash

Not yet. Only 6 coyotes into it. 39gr SBK at 3950. I think twist rate has a great deal to do with splash. Im running 11 twist but I bet if I ran faster I would see issues, and I still might.

Yes, 39 SBK on a trotting coyote that I misjudged and splashed into neck. Have had good luck with behind the shoulder hits though.

I ended the season shooting some with both the BIB and 35 Berger. Out of my 10 twist both were accurate, BIB slightly better. All were drt, shooting at night 100-200 yard shots, no exits from my 204, will probably try the Bergers in my 20p next winter. If we can still own firearms.

Bib's are worth building a gun around!

I hope my buddy Gene chimes in!
Yep, the BIBs are good coyote medicine...no splash worries at all!

The 39 Sierra will do pretty good if you let them scrub some velocity off...they most certainly splash on coyotes at the 100yd mark, but seem to fair better if they are at 200yds. Sierra recommends somewhere in the neighborhood of 3650fps to avoid this "splash" issue.
