204 1.250 barrel

Thanks Evan I have a 20 Vartarg and it's extremely accurate. I'm thinking the 204 would perhaps reach out to maybe 450 yards realistically. would you agree?

I think it'll probably work well. When I get out in that 500+ range, I like bullets with a sleeker profile to buck the wind better. The 20 cal Berger 55gn does really nicely in the wind, but I don't think it would be a satisfying show on varmints.

That's great info. 7315 br I find the 20-22-250 very interesting but my concern is to have minimal recoil. Perhaps I will spend more time with my Vartarg for now.

Years ago I got a 1.700” Nesika “J” sadly no longer made.I decided I needed a barrel to match as closely as possible,I got a 1.600” barrel from Lilja.I had Greg finish it at 27”and I had him bed it to a Shehane Tracker stock that I cleared with PPG Deltron automotive clear, sharp looking gun in 20BR that has busted a few long range pd’s.I am glad I kept up with my weight training as I get older though, she is a svelt 22lbs that really shoots.
According to Greg Tannel tapered barrels shoot better than straight cylinder barrels, but I tend to like my Varmint guns with a little more substance to ‘em,glad I got a big ole diesel to haul ‘em around :D
