Several months ago one of the big wigs at Ben Avery said some very derogatory remarks concerning the NBRSA and its Board of Directors. I called him out on it, and got very little support on this Forum.

If you let people demean, with impunity, the things you find valuable, the behavior will simply continue.

I believe that I misspoke about them agreeing.

I just looked it up. NBRSA Rules 6.5.5 looks to cover bench rotation. It refers to a match, but then says event.
However, the word "event" is not clearly defined. Any vague wording is open to interpretation.
I'm curious how this plays out.

A match is defined (2.19) in the rule book, but not event. Event is used throughout the rule book interchangeable in referring to the large events, the entire Nationals, and other uses. So when are you supposed to rotate benches according to the letter of the rule?

Its so disappointing when this happens, when a club applies to host a "Registered" match, they contractually agree to abide by the rules. If they would like to make some kind of a change, then they follow the process in the by-laws to request one. If the change isn't approved by a vote of the board, (not members) then they need to follow the rules that they agreed to follow, not try to hold the sanctioning organization hostage at the 11th hour. I love shooting at Ben Avery and praying that everything can be worked out so we can continue to attend matches at this great shooting facility.
