2024 Freedom Benchrest 600 yards Nationals

Well Im finally getting a chance to sit down and finish match report for the 2024 Freedom Benchrest 600 Yard Nationals at Manatee Gun Club.
Several shooters had gathered up at Manatee earlier in the week getting everything from there guns ready to making the facility ready I'm Sure there was a lot of fun had before the match started on Friday.
Well Friday morning at 8am it was a thick fog that lasted until about 915am but when the Sun came out and burned the fog away it was true Manatee with winds and Mirage . We all knew that tactical was a battle between Curt Knitt and The Squirrell Mike Thompson it was very much just that .

When it was all said and done the Manatee Range had showed up to challenge the best Tactical Gun benchrest shooters in the country and they where ready for the challenge
Robert Unertl AKA Big Bob was just to constant for the others to pass him by Finishing in 2 place in both score and group . The tactical class proved to be a very good class this year showing growth and some pretty amazing targets through the year. Congratulations to Curt Knitt on taking 1st place honors in the Freedom Benchrest end of the year Honors more to come on that later on.
Friday wrapped up with shooters coming in and getting ready for Saturday best part of the days wrapping up at Manatee is knowing That Mike and Denise will have a spread fixed fit for a King and his Army. Thanks again to the both of you for all your hard work.
I have not received the equipment list for tactical yet but I will update winners equipment as soon as I can.
Thats going to be a wrap on Friday Stay tuned as I work on the rest of the weekend tomorrow to post tomorrow evening

Well Im finally back to try and wrap this all up. The day started of with a slight delay for fog but it wasnt long and Manatee came to life with good conditions then Mirage and the wind and a little bit of it all from about 11 am on.
When the day was over Saturday it was Bob Rosenstein Curt Knit and Logan Webb being the class of the light gun class

The Best Part of Saturday wasn't the well run fast pace match it was the absolutely Great Meal and Live entertainment and a great time for everyone to kind of let lose and have some fun.
Well Sunday rolls in and no fog match is ready to go and so are the shooters all eyes are on Logan Webb to see if he continues from the day before . But sights soon changed to another one of the wild West Virgina

After 3 days of shooting for some and 2 for others the 2 Gun Overall award and 2024 Freedom Benchrest 600 Yard National Champion as well as The 2025 Regular season and season Champion Mr Curt Knitt
Curt agg 769 in score and a 1.859 group over 16 Targets
The Manatee Gang did a awesome job with Nationals it was a well ran fast pace match and the shooters and others that came to hang out you all are the stars of the show you had fun no complaining just good ol fashion shooting fun . Cant wait to see what 2025 Brings to Freedom Benchrest but I can let you in on a little secret its going to be even bigger and better than this year.

Just noticing that Manatee "home cookin"did not work. Most all of the major winners were NOT from Manatee.
