2021 IBS Ballot

Got home from my trip, read the mail and the rule change proposals seem simple and clear. Much of what I read here is a giant confusion.

That electronic stuff, for one example, is only for sighters. Anyway, I think all the proposals have merit to try.

When I cast my ballot, I will not vote on the rule changes. I only shoot short range and have no reason to vote for the long-range discipline rules and would hope the long-range shooters would do the same.
I will vote for officers.

Out of town until the weekend. No mail so this is a surprise. To me the 1000 format is a confusion and I would welcome some form of the current 600 format.

Not sure about electronic changes and why another minute is needed for sighters between targets. Will be interested to read and try to understand possible changes.

Not to stir the pot but I have always liked the the idea of using the 600 yd format for 1k. But its not going to happen.

Only thing is if there is something that could benefit a shooting discipline that you do not participate in, you are no help. That could also be the opposite. I am not a short range shooter, unless the deer is close, but would help those shooters if given the chance.

Today I work a lot helping other shooters do well and set up programs for their experience. That is to the serious degradation of my own shooting experience but a benefit to others. Even today I am hauling and working on equipment to help run our shoots instead of me being prepared.

I do think a vote that would help other shooters would be a positive thing.

Jeffppc, you are right I would never make it in politics, I will not sell my soul for the sake of the Almighty Dollar or a party that only seeks power (either side).

Well I received my ballot submitted my vote and looking forward to the outcome of this vote I discussed with the club i shoot at and if it passes they will probably shoot some sort of 2 target program in which I will honor what the club wants to do and shoot that format.But for the most part I hope it fails.
