First things first... Thank you for the time and generosity from our many club members who helped coordinate, schedule and do all of the work to make this event happen. Many who took personal days vacation days etc for all or us to enjoy our shooting sport to compete. A Huge Thank you to all of you!

To name a few names:
Ben Brooks our fearless match director, high power director, head Bugler, super awesome dude! Also thank you to Ben for sharing his stories and history on how he was inspired in his bugling career. Such an awesome story..!!

Ray Potter, Both Mid and Long Range Match director.

Glenn Edgard who drove near 100 miles per day for 3 days straight to coordinate the scores, money, and post the daily results.

gogo Daniel head pit boss! He kept us safe and pit operations running smooth. STAND BY YOUR TARGETS.... TARGETS UUUUuuuppp..!!! I believe many shooters had as much fun in the pits working under Daniel’s smooth guidance.
Also many other shooters and volunteers.... Sincerely THANK YOU!

For the match we had some exceptional shooting on all 3 days by many shooters. And there were a few shooters who preformed off the scale to collect their wins in each of their categories.

Well done Robin and Lou. I know it was tough today with the front coming in, but you guys hung in there well.
Congrats to all the winners too, you shot some fantastic scores for sure. Looks like a great match with some stiff competition.
I have to get out more and make some of these fine matches. They’re on my radar for sure.

FOpen State Champ Doug Skogman! So awesome to share the line with Dougie, (aka “The Fonz”). Everyone’s top favorite to cheer for on the line. Congratulations Dougie! Super happy to see you collect this State Championship!

Joseph Legg AR Tactical. Joseph is has been working hard at his game. I met him a few weeks ago for the first time at another range. He just blew everyone away that day and was super happy to see his hard work pay off! Way to go Joseph!!!!

Sometimes a fella has to polish off a Bucee’s protein pack between shooters in the pits....

I think Doug has another moniker after match 5.....Honey Badger! I was squadded adjacent to Doug today. We were in the 3 minute preparation period when we all know it is about to go from dead calm to all hell breaking loose. I can see the dark clouds of the front on the horizon past the target line. The call is made to commence fire. We all take a couple of sighters in the calm. I stop, satisfied of my no wind zero, and throw my rain cover over my gear and pop some popcorn waiting until the winds get here to shoot my ‘real’ sighters. Not Doug....Honey Badger don’t care. Honey Badger goes for score. Honey Badger shoots right through that $hi+!!! ....and proceeds to shoot a 198-9x. I don’t know how he did it but there it is. Congrats Doug!

It was a gamble but I got lucky this time. You were so close I had to go for it. Good shooting !

Luck? I'd say opportunity and preparation. I still consider it an epoch demonstration of shooting skill. Great shooting with you all this weekend. Congrats again.

And congrats to Alan Tampke for an impressive showing in TR in those winds!

Thanks. Was a great experience being able to shoot with all of these incredibly talented shooters in difficult and humbling wind conditions. I am looking forward to shooting more at these type events and hope to see you at some of these matches as well.

Congratulations!!!

Thank you Ben and Bayou Rifle crew for a well ran match.

Congrats Doug Skogman, Robin Ardoin and Omar Alonzo!! That was some fine shooting men!

Thank you Mother Nature for making it fun and interesting.

Congrats to all the other winners!
Second that motion, so to speak!!!

Reminded me of Yesterday’s match at Bayou 600 yard. I heard it was the same at Arizona as well... I’m still “blown away” by the scores the top guys were able to manage in those winds! We even had a “triple dog dare 6mm match go down!” Tim Vaught vs Norman on Sunday. And those 2 simply showed why they are on another level in their wind calling skills! WOW!

Great shooting again to Allen Tampke and Doug Skogman. But “hats off” also to Tim and Norm showing us how to manage with little 6mm in ripsawing winds...
